NBN FAQs
Not exactly. WiFibre will receive your signup request and process it internally to verify that we can (1) achieve the speed tier you have requested based on a technology check, and (2) validate with our wholesale carrier that we can service your site within your requested timeframe.
If your service is on a fixed-term contract, an Early Termination Charge may apply — calculated based on remaining contract term. This is a pass-through of what we are charged by the carrier. If you are on a non-contracted, month-to-month service, no ETC applies.
Payments are managed via the My Account portal at portal.wifibre.com.au. Your credentials are sent in your welcome email upon service activation.
In most cases no — you will be notified at signup if a site visit is required. Where no visit is needed, you will receive either a pre-configured router or connection credentials and setup instructions for your own modem (BYOD).
Our local support team is available Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm AEST. Call us on (07) 5405 2500 or email [email protected]. We also monitor after-hours voicemail and act on urgent requests, including weekends and public holidays. You can also manage your service 24/7 via the My Account portal. Our team is here to help and manages all carrier liaison on your behalf — you only ever deal with WiFibre.
If you purchased the router from WiFibre, yes — it is yours and unlocked for any network. Loaned equipment remains the property of WiFibre. Lost, stolen or damaged loaned equipment will be charged at replacement cost.
